BACKGROUND
Digimap is an Apple Premium and Authorised Reseller in Indonesia. First launched in September 2019, Digimap is owned and operated by MAP Group (PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk), the leading lifestyle retailer in Indonesia. Currently with 18 stores across 5 Indonesian cities, Digimap serves as a one-stop shop for everything Apple – offering the latest and widest range of Apple products, accessories and more.
BRIEF
Digimap launched a major project to elevate its digital presence by building a new Shopify Plus Eommerce platform. The goal was to meet Apple's standards as an Apple Premium Partner while increasing online sales, expanding marketing, and offering customers detailed product info, store locations, and promotions.
GOALS
The goal of this project is to transition Digimap’s online platform to Shopify, ensuring full compliance with Apple’s guidelines. This required a complete overhaul of their existing digital infrastructure, with meticulous planning and execution to meet both Apple’s high standards and Digimap’s own business objectives.
CHALLENGE
Digimap encountered several challenges during the project. Adhering to Apple's strict guidelines required close coordination with internal teams. Large-scale data migration from the old site posed another hurdle, as product and customer information had to be transferred without disruption. In addition to this, integrating the new Shopify platform with the existing MAP ERP system added complexity, requiring streamlined workflows for smooth operations.
Solutions
To tackle these challenges, we worked closely with Digimap to ensure full compliance with Apple's guidelines. We used top-tier third-party tools for fast, efficient data migration, minimizing downtime and preserving data integrity. For ERP integration, we implemented streamlined processes to ensure smooth operation between the new platform and existing systems.
Creating the Experience
Several key features were added to the new platform to enhance the customer experience. These included a "Click and Collect" option, allowing customers to purchase products online and pick them up in-store, and a Store Locator feature to help customers easily find the nearest Digimap location. Additionally, the site was enhanced with up-sell and cross-sell recommendations, improving the average order value by suggesting complementary products to customers during their shopping journey.
The Results
The project resulted in a successful launch, with the new Shopify-based platform going live smoothly. This transition not only ensured compliance with Apple's standards but also provided Digimap with a robust, scalable Ecommerce solution that significantly improved the customer experience and positioned the company for future growth.
