BACKGROUND

Tokoplas is Asia’s leading and trusted marketplace for petrochemical products.

As a multi-product platform specializing in petrochemicals, including PP and PE, Tokoplas is a vertically integrated business that provides pricing, product information, clearing, settlement, delivery, and financing services.

With about hundreds of plastic resin products for example Etilinas, Polimax, Titanpro, and Masplene, Tokoplas is the most comprehensive ecommerce trading platform for petrochemicals in Indonesia.

BRIEF

Tokoplas seeks Ecommerce implementation from Kemana due to the difficulty of its Silos system between B2B marketing, sales, and operations that lead to a lot of manual processes & paperwork between sellers & buyers.

GOALS

Our goal is for Tokoplas to reach more customers, provide a better customer experience, resolve the extensive manual process, and have a better workflow throughout the operation.

CHALLENGE

Since Tokoplas is a multi-product platform specializing in petrochemicals, including PP and PE, our team encountered difficulties with its wide-range product category structure, including product atributes and multiple sellers and buyers.

SOLUTIONS

Kemana implemented the concept of a marketplace as well as applying multiple layers of categorization by utilizing PCP and PDP to relieve its wide-range product category. Our team also utilized the Magento product attributes & comfortable mockup in serving the detailed information/specification of the product.

CREATING THE EXPERIENCE

To achieve its omnichannel experience, our team added an all-in-one dashboard, differentiating buyer and seller dashboards for them to separate their buying and selling process. We also aimed to create the site as the one-stop website for buying plastics. Therefore, our team built custom features, such as the plastic price trend chart, the plastic’s latest news feed, the price negotiation form, the ability to send to multiple addresses with the adjustable time of shipment, and many more.

THE RESULTS

With the success of this project, Tokoplas today has an exceptional Ecommerce website and better customer experience. Customers can now use their website without any hassle. Futhermore, with the help of Kemana, we are able to find a solution of the painpoints of Tokoplas with regard to their problem.
